Trill 👟
Brand identity for Trill, a specialized sneaker boutique. While developing this brand it felt relevant to reference the Mexican culture within the visual identity of the brand, I found a parallel between the worship of Catholic imagery that exists in Mexico and the sneaker-head culture and its devotion to brands, models, and designers.
Devoted to style.
The almost religious worship present in the sneaker culture inspired the narrative and visual execution of Trill’s visual identity, a very simple and effective way to communicate devotion was to take a religious icon and recontextualize it, the Virgin Mary. The distortion of the wordmark and the virgin represents the capacity for transformation of the industry, old and new trends shape the standards of fashion and style.
The eclectic typeface selection references the endless universe of trends and items that keep popping up, new drops, releases, collaborations, new materials, etc. And the introduction of a mascot is meant to add a fun and nostalgic element to the brand, in Mexico shoe stores used to have mascots or illustrated characters to make the shopping experience more appealing to kids.
